Kickoff at 7.30 \n\nAs we approach another anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11th 2001\, the flames of conspiracy still burn strong. A quick search online shows thousands of videos with millions of hits\, books have hit bestseller lists\, and prominent conspiracy theorists speak to large audiences to this day. \nA few years after the attacks\, an already suspicious young Irishman by the name of Buck Mulligan stumbled upon the ‘documentary’ film Loose Change – and thought he had found ‘The Truth’. In the following months he spent his time doing what most people do after finding religion: He went out and began to convert the non-believers\, all the time watching and reading anything else he could pick out that further confirmed those beliefs. \nNowadays that Irishman is not so young\, and is no longer a 9/11 Truther. Quite the opposite in fact. He can now frequently be found arguing the case against the very conspiracists he once sided with. \nWhat caused such a dramatic change of opinion? Come join us to hear his story\, and get involved during the Q&A where we will happily branch out to other related topics: JFK\, Sandy Hook\, Balloon Boy … pick your conspiracy! \nAbout the speaker:\nBuck Mulligan is host of the podcast ‘Buck Mulligan Talks to Everyone’. He cut his podcasting teeth as a frequent co-host on the sadly defunct League of Nerds podcast\, during which he even got his own spin-off show ‘F**k You Buck Mulligan’. Rumour has it that he’s a pretty ok fella – but you can form your own judgment on the night. \n\nThis is event is free to attend\, although we will be asking for donations at the end of the talk. Participants are under no obligation whatsoever to donate\, however please rest assured that the money we collect doesn’t end up in anyone’s pocket – it is used to fund our overhead costs\, and travel/accommodation for our speakers who come from further afield. \n\nAccessibility: As per the policy of the Admiral Bar\, access to the venue “can only be provided to patrons who are sufficiently mobile and capable of independently evacuating premises\, or with the minimum of assistance”. Unfortunately\, this leaves the basement inaccessible to most wheelchair users. \n URL: LOCATION:72a Waterloo Street\, Glasgow\, G2 7DA\, United Kingdom ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png: END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
