SUMMARY:Zombies and Vampires and bats\, oh my! - Tracey Jolliffe
DESCRIPTION:Is there a Zombie virus? Can you catch Vampirism? In this talk we’re going to look at some pathogens that might have given rise to the myths and legends. \n  \nAbout the speaker: \nTracey Jolliffe is a microbiologist working in the NHS. She has presented many talks and posters at a national level. Most notably amongst these are her four previous appearances speaking for Glasgow Skeptics (STIs\, Organ Donation\, GOOP\, and a sold out talk about her evening work as ‘The Batnurse’) \n  \nAdditional Details:\nThis is event is free to attend\, although we will be asking for donations at the end of the talk. Participants are under no obligation whatsoever to donate\, however please rest assured that the money we collect doesn’t end up in anyone’s pocket – it is used to fund our overhead costs\, and travel/accommodation for our speakers who come from further afield.\nAccessibility:\nAs per the policy of the Admiral Bar\, access to the venue “can only be provided to patrons who are sufficiently mobile and capable of independently evacuating premises\, or with the minimum of assistance”. Unfortunately\, this leaves the basement inaccessible to most wheelchair users. \n
